Terms of Service

In plain language, a SaaS platform means you use CrossLect through the internet under a subscription, without installing or hosting the software yourself. Depending on your plan, you can run live classes, manage schedules, learners and tutors, track attendance, share recordings, accept payments, and offer a branded learner portal on your own domain.

They are most relevant if you are one of the following and use CrossLect for any of these purposes:

• an independent tutor or coach running live online classes
• an academy or coaching institute managing learners and tutors
• an educational institution or company delivering training programs
• a business using a white-labeled learner portal on its own custom domain

When should I read them?

Read these Terms before you create an account, choose a subscription plan, or connect a custom domain, because using the Services means you accept them. If you are signing up for an organization, make sure you have the authority to accept the Terms on its behalf.

CrossLect provides a cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform for operating online learning businesses and educational programs. Depending on your subscription and enabled features, the Services may include tools for:

• live online classes and classroom access
• scheduling and availability management
• learner and tutor management
• attendance tracking and analytics
• class recordings and replays
• credit passes and class bookings
• payment and billing integrations
• WhatsApp and email communications
• branded or white-labeled learner portals
• APIs and other integrations

The features available to you depend on your selected plan, configuration, and any applicable third-party services.

White-Label Use

Where included in your plan, CrossLect provides you with a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use designated CrossLect functionality through your custom domain and to display your own branding, including your logos, colors, and other approved brand assets.

Your white-label configuration does not transfer ownership of the CrossLect software, technology, infrastructure, documentation, trademarks, or other intellectual property to you.

CrossLect retains all rights, title, and interest in its platform and underlying technology.

You must provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your account and keep that information reasonably current.

You are responsible for:

• maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• protecting administrator credentials, API keys, access tokens, and other authentication information
• controlling access to your CrossLect account and authorized users
• ensuring that users accessing your academy have appropriate permissions
• maintaining appropriate backups of information that you require independently of the Services
• ensuring that your use of the Services complies with applicable laws and these Terms

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless caused by unauthorized access resulting from CrossLect's breach of its security obligations.

You must promptly notify CrossLect if you believe your account or credentials have been compromised.

You retain ownership of content and materials that you submit to or through the Services, including, where applicable:

• course and curriculum materials
• learner and tutor information
• class materials
• recordings
• documents
• messages
• branding assets
• other content you provide to CrossLect

You are responsible for ensuring that you have all necessary rights, permissions, consents, and lawful bases required to collect, upload, process, display, communicate, or otherwise use such content through the Services.

You are also responsible for your relationships with your learners, tutors, instructors, employees, contractors, and other users of your academy.

CrossLect does not take ownership of your Customer Content merely because you upload or process it through the Services.

Your use of the Services may involve the processing of personal data.

Our Privacy Policy explains how CrossLect handles personal information processed in connection with the website, accounts, and Services.

Where you use CrossLect to process personal data relating to your learners, tutors, employees, or other individuals, you are responsible for determining the purposes and means of processing where applicable and for providing any required notices and obtaining any required permissions or consents.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, CrossLect may act as a data processor/service provider for certain customer-controlled data and as a data fiduciary/controller for personal data processed for CrossLect's own purposes.

Where required, the parties may enter into additional data-processing terms.

CrossLect Subscription Fees

CrossLect subscription plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly or annual basis, according to the plan and billing frequency selected at checkout.

Unless otherwise stated in your order or subscription agreement, subscription fees are payable in advance.

Platform Commission

CrossLect currently charges 0% platform sales commission on tuition collected through your connected payment setup.
